Now Id like to share my love for this fashion illustrator with you because he is truly a gem. His unusual girls with attitude and bigger heads with fluid lined bodies have insprired us all to be daring and put our own town when we transform our designs from mind to paper. His illustrations pull me into a fantasy where there’s vibrant colors and intricate patterns draped in and around into a jet setter’s lifestyle. He’s been so successful his works been featured in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar,the New Yorker and Nordstrom and is the featured illustrator in Nina Garcia’s, Look Book : What to wear for every occasion. Toledo was born in Havana, Cuba in 1961 and graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology. He is married to fashion designer Isabel Toledo (think lemongrass yellow wool lace shift dress with matching overcoat that Michelle Obama wore to the inaugurationof her husband, President Obama!)
